The project is a photographic billboard campaign created for the German company Playtronica, which produces devices capable of transforming the electrical waves of a person or object into melody. To represent the shape of the sound wave, we decided to create a dreamlike, almost underwater imagery that is highly evocative. Three main subjects were chosen for the campaign: nature, objects, and people, all capable of creating a melody through Playtronica. The photographs were composed directly in-camera with the aid of a backlit screen on which the set was built.
